This is a beautiful vintage men's Swiss Globa Sport early 'stop-start' chronograph watch with a handcrafted genuine leather strap.

Vintage manual wind chronographs are one of the most desirable watches within the vintage watch world. These are the types of watches that will steadily appreciate in the coming years; even after the demands of football games, cycling around the countryside and sharing a few beers with a mate.

It has a wonderful brown thick handmade strap made from 100% genuine leather obtained from Pittards in Somerset (UK), it is specifically tailored to this watch with lovely matching green stitching that matches the hands. It feels great, will age gorgeously and mould perfectly to your wrist!

This 1960’s telemeter watch is 39mm to the crown and Swiss Made (see bottom of dial at 6 o'clock). It comes with a beautifully white dial with gold watch hands and matching subdials, it also has rotating bezel and funky pushers.
The telemeter dial had the ability for it's wearer to measure the distance to an event that can be both seen and heard, i.e a torpedo strike and/or lightning strikes....should you be so inclined.

MOVEMENT:

This is a one jewel R. Lapanouse movement and keeps accurate time (recently regulated).

Technically this watch is a chronograph, however often being referred to as a "lap timer" by some. The chronograph's upper sub dial registers 45 minute increments while the lower totalizes 6 hours.

One must manually advance the time to 12 o'clock sharp and also allow the seconds hand to reach 12, both chrono registers will now also be at "0". Pressing the bottom chrono pusher will start the second hand and the top one stop it.

Once the pusher is deployed, the time advances until the other pusher is pressed. It can time 45 minutes increments on the top register and 6 hours on the bottom register. To regain the current time, one has to refer to another timepiece and re-adjust using the tradition push-pull crown.

MOVEMENT: Mechanical, has been time checked over 24 hours.
CASE: Great condition - a few small, barely noticeable scratches.

BACK CASE: Great condition - a few scratches.
CROWN: Excellent condition.
CRYSTAL: Good condition.
BRACELET: Excellent condition.
PRESENTATION: Presented in a vintage style presentation box, great for a gift or to simply keep the watch in.
OVERALL CONDITION: Has been tested, cleaned and checked over and is in excellent working order.
